Inexpensive way to filter fluoride!
Since fluoride is one of the things we are supposed to avoid with GS, I started researching ways to filter my shower water. I looked at several options, but decided to try one of the less expensive products. It had good online reviews, so I figured what the heck!
Well, I got my Sprite shower filter and already notice a difference. No itching or coughing in the shower (and my hair feels softer too!). It was only $26.50 on Amazon (substantially less than at the Sprite Industries site) and actually goes between the shower pipe and your own showerhead. It is supposed to last for one year, depending on how often the shower is used.

Looks like that device filters chlorine, but not fluoride. From my research fluoride is difficult to remove, and requires a very expensive filter. As one who also has GS, I'm curious where you heard that fluoride should be avoided. Thanks & good luck!

ReplyDeleteI was born with Gilbert's Syndrome and from years of "psychiatric" medication developed a cyst under my skin just above my upper lip. Doctors have told me that they themselves cannot remove that same cyst of mine without leaving behind a bigger mass. Does fluoride cause cysts? Does fluoride plus psychiatric medicine cause cysts? How do I remove my own cyst on my own?
